The Olympics, which were asked whether to hold or not, will end in two days.  I would like to applaud the success of Japanese players.  The Olympics in a pandemic will certainly go down in history.  Behind the scenes, the number of people infected with corona in Japan has exceeded one million, and the number of deaths has exceeded 15,000, and the number is still increasing.  The tangible and intangible impact of hosting the Olympics, good or bad, would have been. It is certain that we have left a big problem in the future.  Also, this time, the truth behind the political and commercial use of the Olympic Games has been revealed.  I think we should take this opportunity to think about what the Olympics should be.

開催の賛否が問われたオリンピックもあと２日。日本選手の活躍振りには惜しみなく拍手を送りたいです。パンデミックの中でのオリンピックは確かに歴史に残るでしょう。その裏では、日本のコロナの感染者数が百万人を超え、死亡者数も一万五千人を超えていて、まだまだ拡大の一途を辿っています。オリンピック開催による有形無形の影響は良くも悪くもないとは言えません。今後に大きな課題を残したことだけは確かです。また今回、オリンピックを政治的に利用したり、商業的に利用する内実が炙り出されました。これを機会にオリンピックのあり方を考えるべきだと思います。
