February 3rd is Setsubun. Setsubun refers to the day before the beginning of each season and is a holiday in Japan. We will drive away evil spirits with beans on this day and eat wrapped sushi.

伊豆伊東の下田街道沿いの菜の花畑です。

伊豆は場所によっては亜々熱帯的な気候なので、水仙はもう盛りを過ぎ、梅や桜も満開というところが多いそうです。

２月３日は節分ですが、季節が逆転しているのが伊豆ですね。恵方巻きは関西で生まれた巻きずしですが、これに菜の花を添えれば、鬼もびっくりして逃げ出すかもしれませんね。
