It’s already “summer day” every day.  It is time for “midsummer day” to be mixed in.  The weekly weather forecast changes every time I look at my smartphone.  It is a sign of the end of the rainy season.  In front of the park house, a wisteria basket wagon full of summer flowers is basking in the sun.  I am looking forward to the arrival of summer.  But the world is in the midst of a century pandemic.  The number of infected people is also starting to increase in countries that have almost finished vaccination.  The Olympic Games will be held in such a situation.  No matter what the cause, it seems to be just a stubbornness.  It’s not too late now, so I hope the Olympics will be cancelled.

もう連日の夏日。その中に真夏日も混じる時期になりました。お天気の週間予報もスマホを見るたびに変わっています。間もなく梅雨明けの予兆です。公園のハウスの前には夏の草花満載の藤製の花籠ワゴンが陽を浴びています。夏の訪れが楽しみな光景です。しかし世界は世紀のパンデミック。ワクチン摂取をほぼ終えた国々でもまた感染者数が増加し始めているとか。そんな中でのオリンピック開催。どんな大義名分を掲げても、単なる意地っ張りにしか思えません。今からでも遅くはないので、オリンピック中止を望みます。
