In the nearby fields, cockscombs for the Ohigan are cultivated, and the buds are swollen all at once. The cockscombs in front of the Buddha are indoors, and the cluster amaryllis outdoors. As such, these two flowers are representative of autumn. Hot days are still going on, but autumn is definitely coming. The name cockscomb was named because it resembles a chicken crest. Jakuchu, who continued to also draw chickens, drew cockscombs. It is a strange flower that I do not know where the petals are.

近くの畑にはお彼岸用の鶏頭が栽培されていて、一斉に蕾が膨らんでいます。屋内には仏前の鶏頭、屋外には彼岸花と、共に秋を代表する花々です。暑い日がまだまだ続いていますが、確実に秋は近づいています。鶏頭は文字通り鶏の鶏冠に似ているところから付いた名前です。鶏を描き続けた若冲も鶏頭を描いています。どこからが花びらなのか分からないちょっと変わった花です。
