Tomorrow, March 11th, 10 years have passed since the Great Tohoku Earthquake.  The aftershocks of the big earthquake are still continuing, and the reconstruction is in the middle of the process.  The final treatment of radioactive materials from the Fukushima nuclear accident caused by the tsunami is still 50 years away, so we encountered the worst situation in Japanese history.  Besides we are struggling with the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus once every 100 years, so it is far beyond the “add insult to the injury”.  The snowfall from the hem of Mt. Fuji began to melt with the bud opening of the plum blossoms.  It is the most beautiful sight of the beginning of spring.  I hope that this year will not cause any further national crisis, and that I will be able to live as powerful as I can.

明日、３月11日で東北大震災から10年。大地震の余震は未だに続き、復興も道半ばの状態です。津波によって起こった福島原発事故の放射性物質の最終処理に至ってはまだこれから50年先ということですから、日本の歴史史上最悪の事態に私達は遭遇したわけです。今更に100年に一度の新型コロナウイルスによるパンデミックに四苦八苦しているわけですから、泣き面にハチどころではありません。いちばん山裾まで覆っていた富士山の冠雪も梅の綻びとともに溶け始めました。春の幕開けのいちばん美しい光景です。今年一年もどうかこれ以上の国難が起こりません様に、個人的にも元気で精一杯生きられます様に合掌です。
