The Japan Weather Association announced the flowering forecast (2nd) of cherry blossoms at 49 locations nationwide on February 10, 2022 (Thursday).  Cherry blossoms in 2022 are almost normal in western Japan and Kanto, starting from Tokyo, Fukuoka and Kumamoto on March 22, and blooming in Oita, Kochi and Yokohama on the 23rd, and Nagasaki and Nagoya on the 24th. It seems that it is expected to be so.  In Naha City, Okinawa, it has already bloomed on January 11, and in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, it is expected to bloom on April 30, so cherry blossoms will continue to bloom for about five months all over Japan.  It’s Japan, the land of cherry blossoms.  The pink color of the Kawazu cherry blossoms planted indoors is very fresh, but the peak of the Izu Kawazu cherry blossoms this year is said to be around the end of February 2022, a little later than normal.

日本気象協会は、日本全国49地点の桜の開花予想（第2回）を、2022年2月10日（木）に発表しました。2022年の桜の開花は、西日本や関東はほぼ平年並みで、3月22日に東京、福岡、熊本からスタートし、23日には大分、高知、横浜、24日には長崎や名古屋などで開花する見込みだそうです。沖縄の那覇市ではもうすでに１月11日に開花し、北海道の旭川市では４月30日が開花予想ですから、日本全国はおよそ５ヶ月間桜が咲き続けるわけです。まさに桜の国、日本ですね。室内に植えた河津桜のピンク色がなんとも初々しいですが、今年の伊豆河津桜の見頃のピークは、平年より少し遅れて、2022年2月下旬頃になるそうです。
