On the other hand, television shows the tragic situation in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Autonomous Region. On the hospital floor, blue vinyl sheets are strewn with abandoned newborns. Is it okay to show such images to children? It’s worrisome. 夏が終わったら秋を飛ばしていきなり冬。そしていきなりクリスマス。何と気忙しい事でしょう。友人の家にも、そしてデパートにも大型スーパーにももうクリスマスツリーが飾られています。どのコンビニにもクリスマスケーキの予約広告が貼られています。その隣にはお正月のお節料理の宣伝まで。まあともかくどれも楽しい事なので結構としましょう。一方テレビでは、パレスチナ自治区ガザの悲惨な状況が映し出されています。病院の床に敷かれ青いビニルシートには何人もの新生児がごろごろと放ったらかしです。こんな画像を子供達に見せていいんでしょうか、心配になります。イスラエルとパレスチナの戦いは悲劇としか言い様がありません。歴史的に根深い原因があり、どちらの言い分にもそれなりの理由があります。しかしもう一方のウクライナ戦争は、プーチンという独裁者の自分勝手な歴史観によって引き起こされた戦争です。ここでも沢山の子供を含む多くの犠牲者が毎日のように出ています。居ても立っても居られない複雑な気持ちです。
