明日(2/3)は節分。子供の頃は「鬼は外、福は内」と玄関で豆を蒔いたものです。そして「年取り豆」と言って、年齢の数もしくはプラス一個の豆を食べました。しかし最近は「恵方巻き」を食べる習慣がすっかり定着し、豆蒔きは省略と言う家庭も多い様です。テレビでも節分の豆を子供達に食べさせる危険性を訴えていますので、豆蒔きの習慣はますます忘れさられることでしょう。この恵方巻きも、全国的に認知されるようになったのは2000年以降で、21世紀に生まれた慣習と言ってもいいかもしれません。発祥の由来には色々ある様ですが、大阪が発祥の地であることは確かな様です。恵方巻きは、恵方(縁起の良い方向)を向いて食べるとよいとされています。恵方は年によってかわり、2023年の恵方は、南南東（細かくいうと南南東微南）です。近くのコンビニでは早々と完売御礼の張り紙が貼られています。
