It is conspicuous that Higanbana(cluster amaryllis), which had been blooming in a flock, has begun to die after the middle day of the Ohigan(the equinoctial week).  On that side, several October-cherrie blossoms are in bloom without any noticeable.  Where did that momentum in spring go?  It is sometimes called crazy blooming, but it is not the case. It is a two-stage cherry blossom that was born from a crossing between Mamezakura and Oshimazakura. In any case, the cherry blossoms at this time cannot be the main characters.

お彼岸の中日も過ぎ、群れ咲いていた彼岸花にも枯れ始めているのが目立ちます。その側に十月桜が、二、三輪目立つこともなく楚々として咲いています。春のあの勢いは何処へやら。狂い咲きと呼ばれることもありますが、決してそうではなく、マメザクラとオオシマザクラの交雑から生まれた二期咲きの桜で、この時期に咲く花芽は全体の３分の１以下であり、残りは春に咲きます。いずれにしても、この時期の桜は主役ではありえません。
